Farm House Wedding In The Midwest

So I know I normally post about my furniture, but this wedding was the most adorable farm house/vintage wedding and I thought I should share.  It was my husband's cousin getting married in her own backyard!  Her wedding had so many cute details and I was asked to help decorate the inside of the barn, AKA the dance floor ( So I channeled Footloose 2011 Pro\) and the entry to the barn.  One of the great things about Tyler's family is that we all pitched in and what came out was amazing, it was so romantic.  Loved it!  This wedding was so beautiful and even complete with a port-a-potty vignette.  I think we could start a new family business!

Check out below for all the adorable picture of this amazing and fun wedding.

The farmhouse, all the flowers, tulle, and bows = LOVE!

Chevron Side Table

This adorable Chevron side table is sure to be a conversation starter.  The side table itself is very unique and given the dimension it has with the 2 levels I knew I wanted to do something that would make it stand out.  So I painted it with ASCP in Old White and French Linen and added a Chevron stencil.  The result is so adorable!

It All Started With Some Frames...

Hi All!  Sorry its been a while, the new job has me a little bit busy.  So one of our family friends brought me these gaudy gold frames over from the Sirrine Adult Day Health Care of Mesa.  These frames were used for the photographs of the women that founded the center.  Sherrie, wanted me to give them a little update so we decided on Annie Sloan's Florence to really make them pop.  Well I love these old style of frames, because you can have the gold show through, and the finished product is absolutely beautiful.  She loved the finished product so much that she ended up buying 3 more of my pieces: 2 chalkboards and a side table.  Always happy to have a satisfied customer, and glad to do it for a good cause!  Thanks Sherrie!

A New Buffet/Side Board

This adorable piece I had actually found to use in my kitchen in a nook.  I had purchased it with the idea to paint it with ASCP in Old White and try a new technique, colored wax.  Well before I could even get done painting it, I had someone ping me for an entertainment center.  Well I sent her a picture of the side board, and she loved it and thought it was perfect for her flat screen.  She gave me full creative license and I think the piece turned out fantastic!   She agreed when she picked it up today!  Love making my clients happy!

Details:  I did the ASCP in Old White and combined the ASCP French Linen with clear wax.  It really gave it a vintage distressed look.  I completed the look with crystal knobs.

If you have a piece you want re-done or are looking for something specific, don't hesitate to contact me.  I may have what you have been looking for all along in my treasure chest.

Bohemian Style Dresser with ASCP New Florence Color!

Finished Product!

I picked up this adorable piece from my good friend Steph.  This piece had spent 2 generations in her family, it was hers and then her daughters Lily's.  Originally it was wood, then was refinished in a metallic silver.  The piece showed some definite wear and tear, and needed to be sanded and wood filler was used where necessary.  Now most of you know how much I love Annie Sloan's but you have no idea how much I love her new color Florence! I saw this piece and I thought it would be a perfect piece to give a bohemian look to.  Yes I have decided that bohemian can be applied to furniture too!  So here it is, the piece is painted with ASCP in Florence, and distressed to show the metallic silver.  Finally its hand waxed, I put some new knobs on it to finish the piece off!  I absolutely love the finished product, hope you love it too!

If you have tried out ASCP new Florence color, feel free to comment!  Isn't it a great color!?

A Coffee Table Can Do Wonders

Hi All.  Sorry its been a while... Life has been changing here at Elle B's.  For starters I am switching jobs!  So the good news is I have a week off to enjoy before I start, and of course I will be doing my favorite thing, PAINTING!  So stay tuned for some wonderfully fabulous projects I have in store this week.  For starters check out the new coffee table.

My family room was starting to look quite dated (couch is 5 years old) and I wanted a new look (but wasn't in the budget to buy a new couch!).  What better way than to switch out the old ottoman for a nice wood coffee table, refinished with ASCP in Provence and hand waxed with combination dark and clear wax to match the decor!  Looks fabulous and the fam loves having a hard surface!

The finished product!

The before - so outdated!

The details - distressed and waxed to perfection.
